Starlink Internet, a satellite Internet service offered by Elon Musk's SpaceX, is now accessible on the Antarctic continent. The National Science Foundation (NSF) and Elon Musk are experimenting with the Internet in the world's coldest climate (Antarctica).
At McMurdo Station in Antarctica, about a thousand people are employed and live there. Different businesses offered them satellite internet, but it wasn't appropriate for them.
Everyone there currently has access to 17 Mbps Internet, according to the United States Antarctica Program. However, they will be superior to the old internet now that Starlink is available. In the past, OneWeb increased satellite internet access in a few locations near the North Pole and Antarctica.
Prior to that, the Internet was tested by SpaceX and the NASA Science Foundation at the Starlink terminal at the McMurdo Station in Antarctica. NFC aims to support scientists conducting research in Antarctica's remote places and expand the Internet's bandwidth there.
Netflix and video chats will not be available to the scientists working at McMurdo Station. Skype can occasionally be used for a variety of meetings.
According to reports, Starlink will offer internet speeds ranging from 50 to 200 Mbps.
