A total lunar eclipse can be viewed today from many different parts of the planet. According to the Nepal Panchang Jury Committee, a total lunar eclipse will occur tonight beginning at 5:11 pm and lasting till 6:34 pm.
The speed at which the Moon orbits the Earth is different from the speed at which the Earth orbits the Sun. This disparity is what brings about the eclipse. These bodies (Earth, Moon, and Sun) fall in the same straight line due to the disparity in speeds and by coincidence of time. As a result, occasionally the earth's shadow falls on the moon, and occasionally the moon's shadow falls on the planet. In this sense, the eclipse is represented by the shadow.
When the moon is in the shade of the earth, it is called a lunar eclipse, and when the moon is in the shadow of the sun, it is called a solar eclipse. The Sun's light is reflected by the Earth while it is between the Sun and the Moon because the Earth rotates around the Sun and the Moon revolves around the Earth. In this instance, the moon can be seen to be in the earth's shadow. An eclipse of the moon creates this kind of shadow.
Lunar eclipses occur when the moon's shadow completely covers the earth. It is advised against doing a number of things according to religious ideas during a lunar eclipse or solar eclipse.
Scientists disagree with the belief that it is improper to gaze at the sun or moon with bare eyes during an eclipse, particularly if we take religious values as our guide. Scientists' studies have revealed through a variety of searches and investigations that the eclipse has no impact on the human body.
They contend that it is incorrect to claim that any living thing will suffer damage from the sun's rays when they are reflected off the earth or the moon.
On the other hand, it is advised against doing a number of things, according to astrology. There are religious practices including not eating, not worshiping gods, and burning Sutak, especially during lunar eclipse.
The claim that sun radiation exclusively during eclipses has a detrimental effect on health has never been accepted. The eclipse is really an accident. When the sun, earth, and moon all fall at the same spot, it is a coincidence. According to a scientific analysis, the sun does not emit hazardous rays in this case.
Science also concurs, nevertheless, that prolonged exposure to the sun with bare eyes is dangerous. When we look at the sun with our bare eyes, the sun's rays hit our eye lenses. The cornea is affected by the rays' convergence (collapse in one spot) when they strike the eye's lens, which can lead to eye issues.
However, in a lunar eclipse, a shadow is cast on the moon when the earth blocks the sun's beams. It has no effect on the eyes to see the moon's shadow. Scientists advise that you view the lunar eclipse wherever you are, at any time.
Similar to how the moon eclipse has nothing to do with the scientific reality that people shouldn't eat, shouldn't pray, and shouldn't wear Sutak.
